Position Description: 

We are seeking an organized and innovative marketing professional with 3+ years of experience to join our team. The Marketing Strategist will work part time at the CHIEF headquarters and part time at the client site, supporting one of our government clients. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in defining metrics and KPIs, developing regular reports, performing impactful analysis analyzing the effectiveness of new and ongoing marketing efforts using statistics from various sources, and providing insight and strategic direction for marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, develop, and execute new marketing campaigns and enhance existing campaigns using a variety of channels (e.g., website, newsletters, social media, multimedia).
  • Assist with development of content for marketing campaigns.
  • Define metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts.
  • Design A/B tests and other methods for measuring and improving marketing tactics.
  • Monitor ongoing activities to provide quantitative insights around marketing strategy implementation.
  • Support agency efforts to define and implement metrics, collect and analyze customer feedback, and strengthen reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Provide ongoing support of digital marketing channels and identify opportunities to extend reach among target audiences.
  • Effectively manage marketing production and dissemination schedules.
Qualifications: 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Familiar with social, digital, print, and e-mail marketing best practices in order to effectively reach target audiences.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console, as well as Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics, and other native analytical tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of web analytics and commitment to design of sound analytics reports.
  • Experience with product or promotion-oriented quantitative analysis.
  • Solid understanding of Excel and pivot tables to conduct analysis of data sets from multiple data sources.
  • Clear vision for how to modify and improve analytics reporting systems.
  • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to recommend best practices and articulate process improvements and required changes.
  • Exceptionally organized, with experience determining and prioritizing your own work tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with customers, senior management and other
technical teams.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen; position is full-time

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • BS/BA in psychology, marketing, math, statistics, economics, or other quantitative field; MBA candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with packages such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc. are a plus.
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis with ability to use Excel Data Analysis ToolPak for discovery of deeper insights.
  • Experience with web analytics tools including Web Trends, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and others.
  • Basic understanding of the web, including HTML, Javascript, and URL structures and redirection.
  • Experience with light HTML/CSS coding.
  • Familiarity with justice community and related issues.
  • Familiarity working with government agencies.
