From the comfort of our cars we can currently - or soon will be able to - receive directions, have tweets read to us, view overlay screens, place entertainment consoles in the rear seat, and more.

Wearable technologies like Google Glass and smart watches are already empowered with innovate software to give us the information we need on the go. Intelligent personal assistants like Siri and Google Now are able to schedule reminders, send emails, and take input from our location to verbally prompt us that our subway stop is just two blocks to the right - or that waiting for the third train will actually save time. As the Apple Watch takes the stage, mobile media will be forced to evolve to meet the wearable era.

These are just a few obvious examples of the near future -- or the not-quite-adopted now and how portable media offers brands and content creators new paths to explore.

Guiding us through a discussion on these new and exciting opportunities will be Geoff Livingston, Author, Marketer, and Photographer. A former journalist, Geoff continues to write, and has authored four books. Most recently he published his first novel, “Exodus,” in 2013, co-authored “Marketing in the Round,” and wrote the social media primer “Welcome to the Fifth Estate.” Professionally, Geoff founded Tenacity5 Media, a marketing consultancy serving companies and nonprofits. He has advised more than 10 members of the Fortune 500, including AT&T, Cox, eBay, Ford, General Dynamics, Google, PayPal, Pepsi Co., Procter and Gamble, SAIC, Verizon and Yum! Brands. He has also advised numerous start-ups, mid-cap companies, and nonprofits, including United Way of America, Live Earth, The Case Foundation, Razoo, Environmental Defense Fund, the Philanthropy 2.0 Project, Tekelec, Network Solutions, Vocus, the Washington Nationals, and Sully Erna (Godsmack lead singer).
