We are supporting a global membership organization with headquarters offices in Bethesda, MD, that serves executives in the financial services community. They are looking to hire a multidisciplinary Graphic Designer into a full-time, salaried position following an on-site temporary employment engagement.

The person who moves into this role will replace a Graphic Designer who was originally placed at the hiring firm by Brainstorm Creative Resources. Depending on how quickly we can identify someone terrific for the position, the current Graphic Designer will remain in her current role and available for a few weeks, to help to facilitate a smooth transition.

Under the direction of an experienced Art Director who has been with the organization for ten years, the Graphic Designer will develop creative concepts and designs for print, online and events-oriented marketing and promotional initiatives.

Brainstorm Creative Resources has supported the hiring organization on an occasional basis, for many years.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with the Art Director in the conceptualization and design of marketing collateral for both print and Web.
  • Creates and produces print and online ads and coordinates placement.
  • Creates/assists in creation and production of a variety of (1) printed items including: brochures, catalogs, direct mail, publications and (2) online materials including: social media graphics, graphics for the organization's soon to be launched new website and graphics-enhanced e-mails.
  • Maintains project work schedule updates and works with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Participates in creative brainstorming meetings.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in graphic design (3-4 years preferred)
  • Mac proficiency
  • Demonstrably excellent skill using InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator (Adobe CC exp. preferred)
  • Some experience working in a professional marketing/design team setting
  • Basic MS office skills
  • A portfolio that clearly indicates the depth and breadth of your experience producing marketing and/or advertising-oriented design for a consumer-facing business, non-profit organization or professional services organization.
Other: 

Based on the bill rate we have established with our client, we can offer a pay rate of up to $30/hr during the temporary engagement.

We have determined a salary range ceiling of $55,000 for the full-time position.

The actual rate and/or salary offered will be commensurate with experience and market norms, and will be based on our evaluation and our client’s evaluation of your experience and personal presentation during one or more in-person interviews.
